After a long silence, the community received heartbreaking news — Hero of Ukraine Dmytro Kvasnyi, a native of the village of Komariv, is returning home on his shield.
Dmytro Volodymyrovych Kvasnyi, born on November 7, 1987, had been considered missing since June 2024. Everyone hoped for any sign of life, but sadly, it has been confirmed that on June 6, 2024, Dmytro was killed in action near the settlement of Novopokrovske in the Pokrovsk district, Donetsk region, while carrying out combat missions to defend Ukraine’s sovereignty.
Since 2022, Dmytro had served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a machine gunner in the assault platoon of an assault company. Despite being wounded multiple times, he faithfully returned to duty each time, standing firm until the very end, loyal to his oath and country.
In February 2024, Dmytro married and found great happiness.
We bow our heads in deep mourning and extend our heartfelt condolences to his mother Hanna Yosypivna, wife Svitlana, brothers Ivan and Oleh and their families, his nephews, and the entire mourning family.
We are deeply grateful to Dmytro for his bravery, resilience, and ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
The Hero returns home with honor. His name will forever live in our hearts. Heroes never die!
