Senior soldier Ruslan Sydorov returns to his native village of Chanyzh on his shield. The serviceman was killed on 22 May 2023 while carrying out a combat mission in the area of the settlement of Lyman Pershyi in the Kharkiv region.
On Sunday, 23 August, at 13:00, the cortege with the warrior’s body will leave the mortuary of the Municipal Non-Profit Enterprise “Busk Central District Hospital”. The funeral procession, accompanied by the police, will then pass through the streets of Busk: Lvivska, 900th Anniversary of Busk Square, Independence Square, Kyivska, the beginning of B. Khmelnytskyi Street, Sichovykh Striltsiv. After this, the cortege will proceed along the Kyiv–Chop motorway and the road to the village of Zavodske (estimated time of arrival 13:30), and from there to the village of Chanyzh (estimated time of arrival 14:30).
The funeral service will begin at 15:00 in the yard of the warrior’s house in Chanyzh. Residents of the community are asked to join the funeral procession and give the defender a dignified farewell on his final journey.
According to the order of the Mayor, Rostyslav Slipets, 23 August has been declared a Day of Mourning in the Busk urban territorial community for the fallen Ukrainian warrior, Ruslan Sydorov.
