Once again, the Dobrotvir community mourns the loss of a brave defender. Volodymyr Stepanovych Ilkiv, a resident of the village of Silets and born in 1979, was killed in action while serving on the frontlines.
On December 23, 2023, his heart stopped beating in the line of duty. Volodymyr stood up to defend Ukraine during one of its most difficult times, giving his life for peace and freedom in his homeland.
He will be remembered as a true patriot — a kind, sincere, and bright person who could not stay on the sidelines when his country needed him most. His death is a profound loss for his family, friends, comrades-in-arms, and the entire community.
The Dobrotvir Village Council expresses its sincere condolences to Volodymyr’s family and loved ones. May God grant them strength to endure this tragic loss. We will forever remember him as a Hero who gave his life for Ukraine.
