The community of Drohobych bid farewell to Nazarii Sabat, who died defending Ukraine.
Nazarii Sabat was born on November 1, 1994, in Drohobych. After finishing local school and college, he worked in the construction industry. From April 2022, he served in the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade. He was a senior shooter-operator and was wounded in the spring of 2023, but continued to fight for Ukraine.
On July 8, 2023, contact with him was lost on the Bakhmut direction of the front. Only now has his death been officially confirmed. On the Day of Ukrainian Statehood, the community met the convoy with the Hero’s body at the Heroes’ Intersection, where a requiem was held.
*Family and friends, community leaders, and city residents paid tribute to the warrior.* After the farewell, Nazarii Sabat’s body was taken to the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity for the funeral. He will be buried in the Alley of Glory.
