The heavenly battalion was joined by the defender of Ukraine, Drohobych native Volodymyr Kravets, who had been defending the country’s freedom and integrity since December 2022. Volodymyr voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine and initially served in the mortar battery of the 67th Battalion of the 103rd Brigade of Territorial Defense, and later on the frontline with the 67th Mechanized Brigade. During his service, he fell seriously ill and was hospitalized, but treatment at the Stebnyk Hospital did not yield results. On the night of March 27, his life came to an end. He is survived by a son, grandchildren, brother, nieces, and daughter-in-law. The funeral ceremony took place on March 28 at the Church of the Holy Martyrs Severyn, Yakym, and Vitaliy with the participation of relatives, friends, and the leadership of the Drohobych community. The hero was buried in the Alley of Glory.
