Two Years After the Shelling on Stryiska: Memory and Recovery

Today marks two years since the horrific shelling on Stryiska, which claimed the lives of ten Lviv residents.

This tragedy will forever remain in our memory. Today, a memorial plaque was unveiled here so that everyone who passes by the restored building remembers the price of our freedom and those who can no longer be returned.

Life goes on: the buildings damaged by the strike have been rebuilt, and a cozy space for leisure has been set up in the courtyard. Residents say that after the ordeal, they have become closer to one another. Every evening they gather in the courtyard, communicate, and support their neighbors.

The restoration of the facades is now nearing completion, people have received funds for apartment repairs, and some have even returned home. This place reminds us of how important it is to be together and to cherish the memory of those taken by the war. For it is memory that is the foundation of our strength.
