Major General Mykhailo Drapaty has been appointed to head the operational-strategic grouping of the troops “Khortytsia” in Donetsk, which is one of the most tense areas of military operations. At the same time, he will retain his powers as the commander of the Ground Forces of Ukraine, the largest component of the Armed Forces of the country.
This decision is aimed at strengthening the command staff and optimizing military coordination and training. The high level of experience of General Drapaty will allow for more effective interaction between different parts of the army and focus attention on the realities and needs of the front, which is key to defining the standards for staffing and training military brigades.
