Hero from Velykomostivska Community Posthumously Awarded the Order of Courage, Third Class

On January 16, the Day of Remembrance for the Defenders of Donetsk Airport, Pavlo Linkevych, a resident of the Velykomostivska community, was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage, Third Class.

This national honor was granted by a decree of the President of Ukraine for his exceptional bravery, resilience, and heroic contribution to defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country.

Pavlo Linkevych, call sign “Freeman,” was a dedicated defender of Ukraine. Without hesitation, he stood up to protect his homeland, demonstrating determination, strength, and unwavering spirit. His life serves as an example for all who continue the fight for Ukraine’s independence.

The award was received by his family—wife Yulia and son Mark. Their eyes were filled with pride for their Hero, accompanied by the profound grief of loss. The entire Velykomostivska community shares this sorrow and offers their support to the family in their time of need.

The memory of Pavlo Linkevych will live on in the hearts of those who knew him and all who cherish freedom and peace. His steadfastness and courage remain a symbol of the fight for an independent Ukraine.
