The native community gathered to honor the memory of Ukraine’s defender, Andriy Shypka, a soldier of the 182nd Separate Battalion of Territorial Defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
His life was cut short, yet he remained faithful to the oath until his last breath. “There was a sincere prayer, there were tears that fell on the streets of Horodok, which have already witnessed so much human grief,” recalled those present. The prevailing silence spoke more than any words.
Andriy was laid to rest in the village of Bratkovychi, where he lived with his family. The memory of the Hero will remain in our hearts forever.
