On May 6, the community of the Transfiguration of the Lord in the village of Volytsi, Chervonohrad district, welcomed the hero of Ukraine Volodymyr Potap.
This was reported by Father Volodymyr Zharsky.
The parish priest, Archpriest Viktor Glushchenko, led the parish’s parastasal service for the soldier.

On April 30, a brutal war claimed the life of our defender, sailor Volodymyr Potap, born in 1989, a resident of Volytsia village. Volodymyr had been defending Ukraine for two years, only a month short of his 35th birthday.
