The community, with profound sorrow, received on a shield the body of the fallen defender of Ukraine, Roman Stefanovych. People came out to the cortege to pay their last respects to their fellow countryman, who gave his life for the Fatherland.
Roman Stefanovych, born in 1975 (date of birth – 25 June 1975), served in the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. He held the position of Border Guard Service inspector of the 2nd category – machine-gunner.
The report notes that the serviceman remained faithful to his military oath and to the Ukrainian people, and bravely fulfilled his military duty, defending the freedom, independence and territorial integrity of the state.
The community expressed its sincere condolences to the family members, loved ones and comrades-in-arms of Roman Stefanovych, and stated that it shares their pain and grief.
The farewell services will take place in two stages:
- On 16 June at 18:00 a parastas is planned;
- On 17 June at 11:00 the funeral rite will take place.
