On 30 June the community will welcome home Andrii Komar, a defender of Ukraine who fell while defending the country. At 12:30 the funeral cortege with the serviceman’s body will arrive in Piatnychany, where residents are asked to come out and pay their respects to the fallen.
After arriving in Piatnychany, the funeral procession will proceed to the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Zaplatyn, and then to the soldier’s family home at: 11 Sahaydachnoho Street.
The farewell to Andrii Komar will take place at the Church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the city of Stryi. The Parastas is scheduled for 19:00.
The funeral service will be held on 1 July at 10:30. Residents of the community are urged to welcome the defender with dignity and accompany him on his final journey, honouring the memory of the fallen soldier.
