The Lemberg strike UAV group, operating in the Donetsk region, has announced the recruitment of pilots.
During a briefing at the Lviv Regional State Administration, information was shared about the role of drone operators on the battlefield, training conditions, and the benefits for candidates. The group’s main tasks include precise elimination of enemy personnel, armoured vehicles, neutralization of electronic warfare and reconnaissance systems, as well as round-the-clock reconnaissance.
“UAV pilots are at the forefront of the effectiveness of hitting enemy forces, help repel assaults, and assist with logistics in areas where other equipment is powerless. According to rough estimates, our UAV unit, over four months at the front performing combat missions, eliminates up to 400 units of enemy personnel, excluding equipment. UAV operator training lasts from 1.5 to 3 months. Individuals receive knowledge in first medical aid, shooting skills. Training can take place not only in the Lviv region. Afterwards, distribution by directions: management of strike or reconnaissance drones begins,” said officer Andriy Lyoda of the 2nd Halytska Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine.
