Ivan Atamanyuk, a resident of the village of Khashchovanya in the Slavske community, was honoured with a high state award. Unfortunately, this occurred posthumously. According to the Decree of the President of Ukraine, he was awarded the Order of Courage, 3rd Class.
Ivan served as a machine gunner in the airborne assault unit of the 82nd Separate Airborne Assault Bukovyna Brigade. He was killed on 30 October 2025 in the area of the settlement of Rodynske in the Donetsk region. The award was presented to the family of the fallen Defender.
