
Ivan Polishchuk: Devotion to Ukraine and heroic death
IVAN POLISHCHUK (22.02.1985-12.02.2025) — supply sergeant of an anti-aircraft artillery battery. Born in the village of Velyki Didushychi, Stryi community. Studied at the local school and at Lviv Vocational School No. 52 (passenger train conductor). He also obtained the profession of firefighter-rescuer. Lived with his family in the village of Dashava.
Military service and awards
On February 25, 2022, he volunteered to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He volunteered for the Rifle Brigade and later became a soldier of the 24th Brigade. For the courage shown in battle, he was awarded the medal \”For the Defense of the City of Bakhmut\” from the Operational-Tactical Group \”Soledar\”.
Tragic loss
Died in the locality of Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk district, Donetsk region. Two daughters will grow up without their father.
Our deepest condolences to his mother, wife, brother, children, all relatives and loved ones. We thank the Warrior for his dedication to the Ukrainian cause. Another angel will protect his loved ones and Ukraine from the heavens.
