The Velyki Mosty community gathered in the central square to honour Ivan Yurochko, who returned to his native land. The townspeople greeted the defender with a live corridor of honour, bowing their heads and, with tears in their eyes, paid their last respects to the Hero who gave his life for Ukraine.
After the tribute, the cortege proceeded to Ivan’s family home and then to the village of Boyanets, where he spent his childhood and where his family awaited him. Ivan served in the Second Galician Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, noted for his courage and loyalty to the state.
The Hero is survived by his wife, three children, parents, brother, and sisters. The loss to the family is irreparable, and their grief is indescribable. Ivan Yurochko’s funeral will take place tomorrow in the village of Boyanets at 12:00. The public is urged to accompany the Hero on his final journey and support the family in this difficult time.
