Based on the results for the first half of 2026, the Ivano-Frankivsk community in the Lviv region ranked among the regional leaders in terms of financial support for the Security and Defence Forces. The share of defence expenditure in the local budget for this period was 14.1%.
The total amount of cash expenditure of the community budget for January–June 2026 (excluding earmarked transfers) came to UAH 120.1 million. Of this, an adjusted annual allocation of UAH 23.5 million is set aside to support defence.
As of 1 July 2026, a total of UAH 16.9 million had already been directed to needs related to the armed aggression of the russian federation, which corresponds to the delivery of around 72% of the annual defence expenditure plan.
The community stresses that systematic financial support for the military and other components of the security sector remains one of the key priorities of the local authorities in the context of the full-scale war. They separately highlight the contribution of taxpayers, thanks to whom the budget has the resources to support the Security and Defence Forces of Ukraine.
