Captain Lieutenant Mykola Khudevych from Tukhlya posthumously awarded the Order “For Courage”

Captain Lieutenant Mykola Vasylovych Khudevych from Tukhlya has been posthumously honoured with a state award. By Decree of the President of Ukraine, he has been awarded the Order “For Courage” III Class.

Mykola Khudevych was born on 9 December 1979. He served in the 73rd Naval Special Operations Centre named after Koshovyi Otaman Antin Holovaty. At first, he served as an instructor for new recruits, and later joined the execution of combat missions directly on the front line, where he was a group commander in Team 2 of the detachment.

On 10 June 2025, Mykola Khudevych was killed in Sumy region while carrying out a combat mission, remaining faithful to the military oath and to the Ukrainian people.

The report emphasises that the Order “For Courage” is a symbol of bravery, self-sacrifice and resilience, and that this high state award is a recognition of his feat and his contribution to the struggle for the freedom and independence of Ukraine.
