Great news for Ukraine and especially for the community of Zolochiv: Yaroslav Pylypyak, a defender from the village of Polyany and a captain of the 15th Operational Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, has finally returned home after almost three years in captivity.
Pylypyak, who is professionally a geologist-geochemist, actively defended Mariupol and the legendary Azovstal. He was wounded twice during his service and was captured in May 2022 while in a hospital located in a bomb shelter.
Despite all the hardships, the most difficult times are behind him. The community expresses deep gratitude and respect for Yaroslav for his bravery and dedication. We wish him strength and a speedy recovery.
