When the ruins disappear, it is not just the aggressor who loses, but the very idea of aggression – address of the President of Ukraine

The head of state informed about the situation on the international front, in particular the conversation with Andrzej Duda, preparations for the Conference on the Restoration of Ukraine in London, honored the soldiers with state awards and thanked everyone who fights and works for our victory.

I wish you health, dear Ukrainians!

I just spoke with the President of Poland Andrzej Duda – an hour-long conversation, primarily on security topics. The situation on the battlefield now, weapons for our soldiers, shells. He thanked for the implementation of previous defense agreements.

Of course, in every conversation, long-term security and peace assurances are heavily emphasized, and not just for us. And always effectively.

Poland quite realistically perceives the need for Ukraine’s membership in NATO. And this is an objective need. Together, we will develop a specific content for the Alliance summit in Vilnius. This is exactly the moment when Russian assumptions that someone in NATO is still afraid of Russia should be completely shattered. Such assumptions fuel Russia’s aggressive ambitions. We have and can neutralize them. We thank Poland for supporting Ukraine and the real strengthening of NATO.

Not only today, but throughout the week, we are preparing very thoroughly for the Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine, which will be held in London next week. It will be an important event, very representative, which will unite both political and business efforts for the restoration of our country and the normal life of our people. The key Ukrainian principle is simple and fair, namely: not a single ruin will remain in Ukraine. We will rebuild everything, we will restore everything, and we already know exactly what steps in what timing and with what forces we need to take in order to defeat Russian aggression and our reconstruction. When the ruins disappear, it is not just the aggressor who loses, but the very idea of aggression. And it will be.

Every day, in preparation for this London conference, we hold long and in-depth preparatory meetings – all necessary state institutions are involved, at different levels. And we are doing everything to ensure that an appropriate level of international agreements is prepared for our vision, the Ukrainian vision – as always, meaningful.

We are also continuing our communication with partners regarding Russian rocket production. Today, Russian inhumans made another missile attack on Odesa – from Calibers. Dozens of components of these “Calibers” were delivered to Russia from other countries. It is obvious that every such way of supply is a way of strengthening terror. The world has the tools to block all such avenues – from every country, from every company whose components are used by Russian missile makers.

Today, I signed new decrees on honoring our soldiers with state awards, including the soldiers of the Air Force, our air defense, those heroes who save the lives of our people every night and every day. Our scouts and servicemen of the Armed Forces – combat brigades and units – were also awarded with awards. A total of 331 soldiers. 331 heroic life.

Please always remember that all of us in Ukraine owe our lives to those who stood up to protect the lives of our people and independence. Respect for our soldiers, respect for the relatives of our soldiers, respect for the wives and husbands of all those who stood up for the defense of the state – this is absolute. Gratitude to these people is unquestionable. Ukraine knows how to be grateful, and it should be shown every day.

Thanks to everyone who fights and works for our victory! I especially thank each and every one who, in the battles in the east and south of our country, is now opening up a strategic space for Ukraine, a space for movement towards victory. Thank you to everyone who is now on the offensive and in the defense, who is storming the positions of the occupiers and who is repelling their assaults – thank you all, warriors, for your bravery, for your steadfastness and for every meter of the result!

Glory to our heroes!

Glory to Ukraine!
