Combined russion Strike on Lviv Region Causes Destruction in Staryi Dobrotvir and Widespread Power Outages

During the night of February 7, 2026, Russia carried out a combined aerial attack on the Lviv region using combat drones and missiles. Critical energy infrastructure facilities were hit, leading to serious disruptions in essential utility services across several communities.

Impact on Residential Areas

In the village of Staryi Dobrotvir, a residential house caught fire following a drone strike. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze, while the shockwave damaged nearby homes.

According to updated information:

  • 18 residential buildings were damaged;
  • one house was completely destroyed;
  • no casualties or fatalities have been reported.

Infrastructure and Utility Disruptions

As a result of damage to critical infrastructure in Dobrotvir, around 6,000 residents were left without water and heating. By 12:45, water, heat, and electricity supplies in Dobrotvir and Staryi Dobrotvir had been fully restored.

However, scheduled rolling blackouts remain in effect throughout the Lviv region. More than 600,000 consumers are currently without electricity.

Air Threat and Air Defense Response

The attack included the takeoff of a MiG-31K fighter jet capable of carrying Kinzhal hypersonic missiles, prompting missile alerts across the Lviv region and Ukraine. Ukrainian air defense forces managed to intercept several enemy drones and shot down at least two missiles of an unidentified type.

Due to targeted strikes on energy facilities in multiple regions, power restoration efforts may take longer. Residents are advised to charge essential devices in advance and strictly follow air raid warnings.
