During the day today, rubble was cleared in the city of Kupyansk, Kharkiv region, after the Russian shelling with S-300 missiles. According to the usual civil construction. The local history museum and nearby houses became a target for the terrorists. Russia killed two women with this strike. My condolences to the relatives and friends of the victims… Ten people were injured – they are being given the necessary help.
In total, more than 60 museums and galleries in various regions of our country were also destroyed or damaged by the occupier.
Today, in the Kherson region, a church was destroyed by a Russian airstrike. In the village of Kizomys of the Belozersk community. Orthodox church… Guided aerial bomb. That is, the Russian military knew exactly what they were destroying. This church became one of the hundreds of churches and prayer houses already destroyed by Russian strikes.
Crimea… Today, the occupiers broke into the house of Abdureshit Dzhepparov. He is one of the representatives of the Crimean Tatar national movement, a human rights defender, a citizen of Ukraine. Where he is now, what happened to him is unknown. This is another example of Russian repression against the indigenous people of Crimea, against all our people. Thousands and thousands of such examples during the aggression both in Crimea and in our other regions occupied by Russia.
No one anywhere can feel safe until the aggressor is defeated. This is what every day in Ukraine proves – all that the Russian troops and special services of the occupier are doing on our land against our people. And this is what they dream of bringing to the land of other nations. The whole world knows it.
The world also knows: Russia can be stopped. This is a common interest. Stop our soldiers on the front line by force. Our weapons are both Ukrainian and those we receive from partners. By the force of law, that is, by sanctions that need constant strengthening, as well as by our joint work for justice. Every manifestation of Russian terror, every day of aggression are additional arguments that all this should end in a tribunal – in the new Nuremberg for racism, for those who destroy lives and people, who have rockets against museums, and guided aerial bombs against churches.
Russia must lose. There can be no other purpose in the world. Because everything else is a loss of life, it is a loss of law, it is a loss of the world itself.
Today, our international sanctions group, a group of experts led by Andriy Yermak and Michael McFaul, presented a document on strengthening sanctions against Russia. The first such sanction plan was implemented by more than 70%. So now it is presented in which directions the sanctions pressure can be increased and how to give the world more stability through the complete exclusion from global relations of all destructive Russian subjects, all those who work for war.
This sanction document will be on the desks of all key world leaders – both political and public, business. Sanctions against the Russian oil and gas sector, against the nuclear industry, against absolutely everyone who helps Russia circumvent the already applied restrictions. This is a necessary self-defense of the international legal order.
Today I held another meeting of the Stavka. Commanders, Chief of Staff, Intelligence, Ministry of Defense. Reports on combat operations at the front now, our ability to actively move, the completion of new units. We talked separately today about Rammstein and further communication with our partners.
He also held a meeting on the economic recovery of Ukraine. Shmyhal, Svyridenko, Shurma, Kubrakov, Fedorov are our recovery team. The economic strategy of today and the post-war period was presented. It is already clear that the result of our victory will be Ukraine’s opportunity to be a real provider of security for all our partners, for everyone in the world who values the international order based on rules. The new security standards that we will implement in our lives: in our infrastructure, energy, logistics and communication, in social and educational spheres, in our production – all this can be scaled in other parts of the world.
Likewise – Ukrainian defense systems, our weapons, our experience of our people, acquired in the confrontation with Russian terror. All this will work for global peace, so that no one in the world will ever repeat Russian crimes.
