The Krasne community has reported the death and forthcoming funeral of serviceman Ivan Zhuk, a resident of the village of Poltva, who passed away in his 41st year.
Private Zhuk Ivan Vasylovych, born in 1986, was serving as a rigger in the evacuation platoon of an evacuation company within a military unit. On 29 July 2025 he was mobilised into the army through the 2nd Department of the Zolochiv RTCC and SP. The community notes that the serviceman dutifully fulfilled his responsibilities and remained faithful to the Military Oath of allegiance to the Ukrainian people.
On 7 August 2026, Ivan Zhuk died in the inpatient department of a hospital in the city of Chernihiv as a result of a serious illness. The community extends its condolences to his family, relatives, friends and comrades-in-arms, and emphasises its gratitude for his service to Ukraine.
On Thursday, 13 August, at 14:00, a funeral cortege bearing the serviceman’s body will depart from the mortuary of the Municipal Non-Profit Enterprise “Busk Central District Hospital” (KNP «Buska CRL») for the village of Poltva. The route is planned to pass through the town of Busk, the urban-type settlement of Krasne and the village of Baluchyn. At 15:00, the burial service will take place in the local church in Poltva.
Residents of the Krasne community are asked to greet the cortege with due respect, accompany the defender on his final journey and pay tribute to his courage and devotion to Ukraine.
