Today, the community with heavy hearts laid to rest Defender Vladyslav Kuzmenko, born in 1999, on his final earthly journey.
“He gave his life so that we could live in peace. So that our children could laugh, so that we could have peaceful skies above us, so that Ukraine could endure.” His heart stopped on the front line on November 29, 2024, near Vesely Hai, Donetsk region, but his heroism will live forever in each of our memories.
Residents of the village of Mervychi, family, friends, comrades gathered in the courtyard. There were many tears, silence, and gratitude. We bow to his courage, support his family, and mourn together.
Such farewells are wounds that do not heal. But they remind us of the price at which every day of freedom is won.
We bow our heads. Eternal honor. Eternal memory. Heroes never die.
