Sulymiv bids farewell to a hero who gave his life for Ukraine.
“Nothing unites people like tragedy. Today, we all face a shared tragedy – the war.” For eight years, our country has been losing its best sons who defend us in the war against the Russian Federation and its mercenaries. Our nation is experiencing the most tragic chapters of its history. The heart breaks with sorrow for all those who have fallen in this bloody and fierce war. The spirit aches for the brave Heroes who give up the most precious thing – their lives – so that we may live.
Unfortunately, today our community once again bows its heads in deep mourning. Great sorrow has united all the people gathered in the village of Sulymiv to bid farewell to a son, husband, father, brother, comrade, just a fellow countryman, a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Soldier Volodymyr Bohdanovych Hvozdivskyi.
His heart stopped at the front line on 23.10.2024 during a combat mission near the settlement of Selydove in the Pokrovskyi district of Donetsk region. He was long considered missing, and based on the identification document, he is recognized as deceased.
