Lviv provides the military with equipment worth UAH 16.7 million

In Lviv, as part of the city initiative “Lion’s Revenge”, six military units received another batch of equipment worth a total of UAH 16.7 million. The handover was carried out by the Lviv City Council on behalf of the community.

Vehicles, drones, satellite communication devices, generators and other technical equipment needed by the military were purchased and supplied for the front line.

This time, the defenders received:

  • 6 vehicles;
  • 19 quadcopters (Autel 4T/N and Matrice 4T) and an unmanned aviation complex;
  • 5 Starlink terminals and 3 generators;
  • 3 monitors and 2 printers;
  • 47 batteries and 80 propellers;
  • chargers, memory cards, a tripod and an SSD drive.

The assistance went to various units: mechanised and assault troops, intelligence, territorial defence brigades, as well as the special transport service.

“Today we are handing over equipment for six military units totalling 16.7 million hryvnias. These are drones, vehicles and everything the military needs. This has been purchased with the funds of the city community, and this is our scheduled weekly handover,” said Andriy Moskalenko.

The City Council stresses that equipment for service personnel is being purchased on an ongoing basis with taxpayers’ money from the Lviv community under the citywide programme to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This year, more than UAH 1 billion has been allocated for this programme, while last year the total amount of such assistance from the Lviv community reached UAH 1.115 billion.
