Lviv Donates Equipment Worth 16 Million Hryvnias to the Military

Lviv has made a significant contribution to supporting the military by donating equipment and supplies worth over 16.2 million hryvnias. This was made possible through the initiative “Lion’s Revenge”, which provided vehicles, Starlink, charging stations, drones, and equipment for reconnaissance and air defence.

The Mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovyi, noted that the vehicles, reconnaissance aircraft, and other equipment would soon be at the front line, protecting not only Lviv but the entire Ukraine. The initiative to provide the 125th Brigade with 125 vehicles was particularly highlighted, with the first five already delivered today.

Support was given to 9 military units, including territorial defence brigades, border guards, air defence units, and assault troops. As for the specified equipment, the city council provided 27 Starlinks, 15 video signal converters, the “Power Eye” UAV, “Madre” and “Madre Buenas Noches” quadcopters, as well as Volkswagen Crafter and Toyota Hilux vehicles.

A military officer with the call sign “Friend Sakhalin” expressed gratitude for the support and noted that the vehicles are extremely necessary for transporting goods and personnel, as the enemy actively uses drones to target equipment. Thanks to the joint initiative of the Lviv community and city council, 125 vehicles are planned to be delivered by the end of the year.

The Armed Forces support programme is financed by taxpayers’ money. Last year, the total amount of such support from the Lviv community exceeded one billion hryvnias, and this year, more than a billion hryvnias is budgeted. This indicates the continuous assistance from the people of Lviv to military formations.
