
On Tuesday, 17 March, a farewell will be held for serviceman Ivan Tyro, who was killed in battles for Ukraine. The city council urges Lviv residents and all interested parties to join the city farewell ceremony and refrain from entertainment activities on this day. This was reported by the Lviv City Council.
The funeral service will commence at 11:00 at the Garrison Church of Saints Peter and Paul. Around 11:30, there will be a citywide farewell ceremony at Rynok Square. The burial will take place at the Riasne Cemetery, located at 11 Lukasevycha Street.
Ivan Tyro (18.04.1983 — 30.01.2024) was a resident of Lviv. He attended Secondary School No. 92 in Lviv and trained as a conductor at the Lviv Professional College of Transport Infrastructure. He worked for “Ukrainian Railways” and in the security sector. At the start of the full-scale invasion, he took up arms to defend his homeland, fighting in the Donetsk direction as part of the 95th Separate Air Assault Brigade. According to relatives, Ivan was active and sincere, with a passion for fishing and sports.
Ivan is survived by two sisters with their families and other close relatives.
