
On Thursday, 2nd April, Lviv will honour the memory of three servicemen who died defending Ukraine from Russian occupiers. The city council urges Lviv residents and visitors to join the farewell ceremony and refrain from entertainment activities.
The farewell to Vitaliy Fedoruk will begin at 09:00 at the Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Malechkovychi. Viktor Khariv will be honoured at 09:00 at the Church of the Resurrection of the Lord UGCC on Horodotska Street, 319A. The funeral service for both soldiers will take place at 11:00 at the Garrison Church of Sts. Peter and Paul, followed by a city-wide farewell ceremony at 11:30 in Rynok Square. They will be buried at Lychakiv Cemetery.
The funeral service for Ihor Turko will begin at 12:00 at the Church of Peter and Paul in Riasne. He will be buried at Riasne Cemetery.
Vitaliy Fedoruk, a native of the village of Malechkovychi, studied at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. He was known for his kindness and caring nature. Viktor Khariv, a Lviv resident, worked in the construction industry and had a passion for cooking. Ihor Turko, also from Lviv, worked as a courier and was known for his sensitivity and diligence.
