
On Friday, 17 April, Lviv will hold a farewell ceremony for military personnel who died defending Ukraine. Residents and visitors of the city are encouraged to join the ceremony and avoid celebrations at this time. The funerals will take place in different locations.
Vitalii Kalimulin, a native of Dobrotvir, took up arms in defence of the Motherland in 2024, serving on the Donetsk front as part of the 24th Brigade. His funeral will commence at 12:00 at the church on Lukasevych Street, followed by a burial at the local cemetery.
The burial of Roman Chaika, a native of Lviv, will take place at the Garrison Church of Sts. Peter and Paul at 11:00, followed by a ceremony at Rynok Square. He will be laid to rest at the Lychakiv Cemetery.
