On Saturday, 9th May, Lviv will hold a farewell ceremony for two Ukrainian defenders—Andriy Marchuk and Ihor Seymivskyi, who perished in the fight against Russian aggression. The city authorities urge residents to join the ceremony and refrain from participating in entertainment activities on this day.
The farewell will commence at 11:00 at the Garrison Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul. Then, around 11:30, a city-wide ceremony will take place at Rynok Square. The heroes will be laid to rest at Lychakiv and Holosko cemeteries.
Andriy Marchuk, a native of Khmelnytskyi, was a creative individual and patriot who joined the defence of the country at the start of the full-scale invasion. Ihor Seymivskyi from Rohizna served not only in the ATO zone but also in many hotspots since the beginning of the new phase of the war. He has been awarded orders for bravery.
