Lviv to Bid Farewell to Ihor Berezenskyi, Fallen Warrior

On July 22, Lviv will hold a farewell ceremony for serviceman Ihor Berezenskyi, who died defending Ukraine.

The city hall urges residents and guests to honor the memory of the hero. “Andriy Yaremko illustrative photo, author: Roman Baluk”. The farewell ceremony will begin at 12:00 at the Church of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist Luke of the OCU. He will be buried at the cemetery in Lysynychi village of Lviv community.

Ihor Berezenskyi (28.06.1968 – 20.07.2025) was born in the city of Dubossary, Moldova. He graduated from Lviv Agrarian University and worked as a team leader and mechanic at a service station. In 2023, he stood to defend Ukraine against Russian occupiers.

He served in the “Steel Border” unit of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and was awarded the Presidential decoration “For Courage and Bravery”.
