In the first three months of 2026, communities in Lviv Region allocated over UAH 940 million for needs related to the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. This accounts for 10.6% of all expenditures excluding targeted transfers. The Sokilnyky territorial community made a significant contribution by allocating over UAH 46 million, which constitutes 55% of its total expenditures.
Other leading communities in this respect include:
- Bibrska – 31.9%
- Morshynska – 31.2%
- Pidberiztsivska – 30%
- Trostianetska – 20.9%
- Slavska – 20.2%
This illustrates responsibility and healthy priorities during wartime. The regional budget also allocated over UAH 238 million (23.2%).
However, some communities allocate a smaller share of the budget for defence: Lopatynska – 1.4%, Sambirska – 1.5%, Rudkivska – 1.5%, Belzka – 1.6%, Strilkivska – 1.8%. Only 17 communities allocate less than 5% for defence needs.
Maksym Kozytskyi urges community leaders to reflect on their priorities, as every budgetary action reflects a civic stance. Residents of the region should exercise their right to oversee the efficiency of funds usage. The distribution of budgetary funds demonstrates how prepared local authorities are to invest in the safety of their citizens.
