In the Lviv region, a batch of modern equipment has been handed over to the support forces battalion of the 12th Special Purpose Brigade “Azov” of the National Guard of Ukraine. The troops received Starlinks, charging stations, large multifunctional reconnaissance FPV drones and a heavy Perun bomber. The aid was purchased as part of the “Birds of Victory” charitable project.
The funds for the purchase were raised in June during a charity auction at Sheptytskyi. In total, 4 million hryvnias were collected. Of this amount, 1.8 million hryvnias came in the form of subventions from the Sokal, Lopatyn, Dobrotvir, Belz and Velyki Mosty territorial communities.
The money raised was converted into specific equipment for the military, which will be used at the front to carry out combat missions. The equipment is designed to strengthen communications and reconnaissance and to create the necessary conditions for the work of Ukrainian defenders.
The organisers highlight the contribution of the Sheptytskyi District Military Administration, its head Andriy Dyachenko, the leaders and residents of the Sokal, Lopatyn, Dobrotvir, Belz and Velyki Mosty communities, representatives of business and the Bohdan Tvardovskyi Foundation, as well as all benefactors brought together by the “Birds of Victory” project.
Within this charitable project, more than 26,000 drones have already been handed over to Ukrainian troops, and 39 defenders have undergone prosthetics. The organisers declare their intention to continue supporting the units fighting for Ukraine.
