In Lviv region, they are laying to rest Ihor Vysotskyi, a native of the village of Kupychvolia, who was killed defending Ukraine in the east.
The serviceman was the commander of a mortar platoon section in military unit A4053. For more than two years, his family waited for any news of him, hoping for his return.
The soldier’s death was confirmed by DNA analysis. Ihor Vysotskyi was killed on 9 July 2024 near the settlement of Makiivka in the Svatove district of Luhansk region. He was 50 years old at the time of his death.
