The Lviv community, as part of the “Lion’s Revenge” initiative, has supplied nine military units with a new batch of equipment and gear for the front, worth a total of over UAH 30.1 million.
The handover was organised on 31 July in a courtyard where several new white pick-up trucks and boxes of technical equipment were laid out. The aid went, in particular, to mechanised units, reconnaissance and the border guard service.
This time, the military received:
- 7 vehicles;
- 119 Fly Fish drones;
- 1 generator;
- 13 antennas;
- 10 quadcopter batteries;
- 1 NRC “Zmiiy Lohistychnyi”;
- 3 charging stations;
- 22 smart soldering irons;
- 2 portable monitors;
- 19 UAV batteries;
- 2 ground control modules;
- 20 media converters;
- 1 laptop;
- 80 reels of fibre optic cable.
According to Lviv’s First Deputy Mayor, Andriy Moskalenko, all of this was purchased with taxpayers’ money from the Lviv community.
“Today we are once again handing over aid to our military. These are vehicles and various pieces of equipment needed at the front, worth more than 30 million hryvnias. Everything has been purchased with the city community’s money – taxpayers’ money. So the more taxes are paid, the more funds we have to support our military. Helping our defenders and supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine is a priority,” said Andriy Moskalenko.
The Lviv City Council notes that the procurement of equipment and gear for the military is carried out on an ongoing basis under the citywide programme to support the Armed Forces. More than UAH 1 billion has been allocated for this programme in 2026. Last year, the total amount of such support from the Lviv community came to UAH 1.115 billion.
