Lviv community provides the military with equipment worth almost UAH 8 million

The Lviv community has purchased and handed over to five military units a new batch of equipment and devices for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The total value of the assistance is UAH 7,932,300, with the funds allocated from the budget of the Lviv community.

According to the Lviv City Council, the military will receive almost three dozen quadcopters of various configurations and around half a hundred FPV drones. All the equipment was purchased with taxpayers’ money from the Lviv community as part of the city programme to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

First Deputy Mayor of Lviv Andriy Moskalenko stressed that the city is systematically providing the military with the necessary resources, which are purchased using community funds.

“Today we are carrying out another delivery of essential equipment for the Armed Forces of Ukraine — items purchased at the expense of the Lviv community. We are handing over equipment worth UAH 7.9 million to five military units. Everything has been bought with taxpayers’ money, from those who are working. Together with our fellow councillors, we always provide the army with what it needs. We thank the military for their service and for what you are doing for our country,” said Andriy Moskalenko.

City Hall emphasises that the procurement of equipment and devices for service personnel is ongoing. This year, more than UAH 1 billion has been earmarked in the budget of the Lviv community for the citywide programme to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Last year, this support from the Lviv community amounted to UAH 1,115 million.
