The Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, visited the area where the 80th Separate Halychyna Air Assault Brigade of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is carrying out combat missions.
During the visit, he congratulated Colonel Dmytro Savon, who has taken command of this brigade. According to the Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, the new commander has considerable combat experience and received wishes of strength in this responsible post and a particular focus on safeguarding the personnel.
In a short break between the units' deployments, Kozytskyi presented awards to service personnel who had distinguished themselves most in the line of duty. He noted that the paratroopers are in good fighting spirits, ask many questions and talk about the Lviv region, send greetings to their families and thank everyone who supports them with concrete actions.
Current needs of the unit were also discussed during the meeting. Some of the issues raised, according to the regional head, are planned to be addressed at the level of the Lviv region.
