It is with sorrow that we announce the loss of our Defender of Ukraine – Marian Kowalski, a resident of Staryava village, born in 1977. This dedicated soldier of the engineering and sapper company of military unit A3719 staunchly defended his country, upholding his oath.
On 10 May 2026, during a combat mission in Mayaky, Kramatorsk district, Donetsk region, he was killed due to enemy shelling by MLRS. Our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and comrades of the hero. We pray for God to grant strength to endure this loss.
Eternal memory to him, a true Defender of Ukraine. Details concerning the hero’s return and burial will be announced later.
