On Tuesday, 21 July 2026, the cortege with the body of the fallen soldier Mykhailo Stepanovych Ivasiuk will pass through Malekhiv to the “Avenue of Heroes”. Residents are asked to join in welcoming and honouring the defender.
According to the organisers, the cortege is expected to arrive at the “Avenue of Heroes” at around 12:45. The procession will move from the petrol station in the village of Krupske through Malekhiv, turning off the main road by the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary after the ascent from the bridge towards the house at 38 Malekhivska Street. There, a priest will say a prayer.
After the prayer, the cortege will return to Hrushevskoho Street and proceed to the “Avenue of Heroes”. From there, the soldier’s body will be taken to the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary at 2 A. Sheptytskoho Street (BAM district), where a parastas will be held at 18:30.
The funeral service is scheduled for the following day at 12:00. The burial will take place at the Malekhiv cemetery. The organisers call on all who wish to come out along the cortege route and pay their respects to the fallen defender.
