Resident of the village of Borok, senior lieutenant of the medical service Dykhtyar Maria was awarded the medal “For a life saved”

Вона врятувала сотні побратимів, іноді вивозила хлопців з-під обстрілів, ризикуючи своїм життям.

The President of Ukraine awarded medics of the 103rd Separate Brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with special medals “For Saved Lives”.

This was reported in the Sokal City Council.

The awards were given “for personal courage and selfless actions shown in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath.” Our compatriot, senior lieutenant of the medical service Dykhtyar Maria Volodymyrivna, is among the awardees.

She is one of the first women volunteers who dared to leave everything in a peaceful life and go to serve for the sake of saving the defenders of Ukraine in Donbas. She was prompted to take such a step by the death of a friend in the Debaltsev “boiler”, who died precisely because there was no medical worker nearby. She was a member of the ATO, for three years – the head of the medical service in the 25th separate motorized infantry battalion “Kyivska Rus”.

She saved hundreds of fellow soldiers, sometimes risking her life to take boys out of shelling.

In peaceful life, Maria Volodymyrivna works as a doctor in the Chervonohrad hospital. In the first days of the full-scale war, Maria Dykhtyar again went to work as a military medic, now she is in the zone of active hostilities, rescuing wounded Heroes every day.

At home, in the village of Borok, her mother, Ivanna Mykhailivna, and son Volodymyr are eagerly waiting for her.

We are proud of our compatriots. We look forward to victory!
