Mykhailo Kravchyshyn has been posthumously awarded the state medal “Defender of the Motherland”. In accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine, the decoration was presented to the wife of the fallen serviceman as a mark of respect for his feat, resilience and self-sacrifice in the struggle for Ukraine’s freedom and independence.
Mykhailo Kravchyshyn was killed on 28.10.2024 near the settlement of Lyman in Donetsk region. The statement underlines that his courage, bravery and self-sacrifice remain an example for all those who are fighting for Ukraine.
The authors of the announcement extend their sincere condolences to the defender’s family and loved ones and affirm that the memory of the fallen soldiers and their contribution to the defence of the state will be preserved.
