Today the Slavske community gathered to mournfully bid farewell to our Hero – Mykhailo Hushchyn. On the front line, he was known by the call sign ‘Sava’. Mykhailo was born on 2 October 1998 in Volosianka, and although he was very young, his life was filled with plans and dreams.
He dreamed of becoming the best father for his three children and bringing them joy. Mykhailo also wanted to support his mother, brightening her life with his care. From the first days of the full-scale invasion, Mykhailo stood up to defend our country.
As a platoon commander of the naval infantry, he defended the skies above each of us. Unfortunately, his life was cut short on 2 April 2026 in Donetsk region, near Samiylivka. Rest in peace, our Hero. Honour!
