In Donetsk region, Novator armoured vehicle saves journalists and National Guard troops

During a logistics mission in the Donetsk region, a special Novator armoured vehicle saved the lives of journalists from Inter TV channel and servicemen of the Kara-Dag National Guard brigade.

According to the journalists, the SBA Novator was delivering a shipment to fire-ravaged Dobropillia, on which the combat capability of the unit depended. While on the move, the vehicle ran over an anti-tank magnetic mine that had been dropped onto the road by an enemy drone.

Despite the powerful explosion, the design and armour of the Ukrainian armoured vehicle absorbed the impact. The vehicle came to a halt, but those inside escaped without injury. On board were Inter correspondent Stanislav Kukharchuk, the TV channel’s cameraman and troops of the Kara-Dag brigade.

“The powerful explosion did stop the vehicle, but the armour and design of the Ukrainian Novator withstood the impact. The crew are concussed, but not a scratch on them” — Stanislav Kukharchuk

The channel’s journalists prepared a report showing the aftermath of the incident and explaining the role of Novator armoured vehicles in saving the lives of both soldiers and media workers at the front.
