25-year-old airborne soldier Ihor Kyrylov was killed in the Donetsk region while carrying out a combat mission. He served as a radio-telephone operator-electrician in an air assault battalion of military unit A0284.
According to available information, serviceman Ihor Viktorovych Kyrylov was killed in action on 16 May 2026 near the village of Piddubne in Donetsk region while performing a task in the area of active hostilities.
The announcement bids farewell to the fallen serviceman, emphasising that society owes a great debt to the young defenders who give their lives for Ukraine’s independence and freedom. Deep condolences and support are extended to the family and loved ones of Ihor Kyrylov in connection with this irreparable loss.
The memory of Private Ihor Kyrylov will be preserved as that of one of those who paid the highest price for Ukraine’s peaceful future.
