The Sheptytskyi City Council reported the loss of Ukrainian defender Mykhailo Yaroslavovych Shporliuk, born in 1996. The soldier gave his life while carrying out a combat mission in Donetsk region.
Mykhailo Shporliuk served as a soldier. He was a crew member of a mortar platoon in military unit A7379.
His Family Waited for His Return for Nearly Six Months
For almost six months, the family and loved ones of the 29-year-old defender hoped that Mykhailo would return home. Since December 2025, he had been considered missing in action.
Unfortunately, it was later confirmed that the defender died on December 1, 2025. The tragedy occurred while he was performing a combat mission near the city of Rodynske in Donetsk region.

The Sheptytskyi community expressed sincere condolences to Mykhailo Shporliuk’s relatives, loved ones, friends, and fellow soldiers.
