The community of Sokal mourns another painful loss. On March 26, 2025, in the area of the village Zvirove in the Pokrovsk district of Donetsk region, Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier Pylyp Vitaliyovych Yarosh, born in 1991 and a resident of Sokal, was killed during a combat mission.
Pylyp gave his life defending Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. His death is a great sorrow for his family, comrades, and the entire community.
The farewell ceremony will take place on March 29 at 2:00 PM near the Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Sokal. Upon the arrival of the body, a burial service will be held immediately. Pylyp Yarosh will be laid to rest on the Alley of Glory in his hometown.
