
It is with deep sorrow that the Sheptytska community announces the death of the Hero Andriy Tkachuk, who gave his life for Ukraine.
Andrii Mykhailovych Tkachuk, born in 1990, died on 25 May 2025 near the village of Shevchenko, Donetsk region. He was a senior soldier, a grenade launcher assistant shooter in the mechanised division of the A5001 military unit.
His death is a painful loss for his family, comrades-in-arms and the entire community.
His life story is an example of true loyalty to the state and people. Andriy did not hesitate to defend his homeland at a crucial moment.
“May he rest in peace and be eternally glorified,” says the heart of everyone who knew him personally or shares the pain of loss. Heroes do not die – they remain with us in our memory and in the history of the nation.
The death of Andriy Tkachuk reminds us of the extremely high price of our independence and freedom. We have no right to forget those who, at the cost of their own lives, keep the peace for future generations. We express our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. “We share the pain of the irreparable loss and bow our heads in grief.”
