The sad news was reported in Stryi City Council today.
Voitko Andriy, call sign “Pikachu” (17.11.1989-13.04.2024) was a fighter of the 4th Brigade of the Operational Purpose of the NGU “Rubizh”, 4th Battalion of Operational Purpose “Power of Freedom”, 10th Company “Green Thugs”.
He was born in the village of Shnyriv, Brody district, studied at the Shnyriv Gymnasium named after Petro Fedun. He studied at the Petro Fedun Gymnasium in Shnyriv and at the S.Z. Hzhytskyi Lviv National University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology. He was involved in professional fighting, a candidate for master of sports. He worked in the field of fisheries.
He lived with his family in Stryi.
In the first days of the full-scale invasion, he volunteered. He joined the ranks of the National Guard. He took part in assaults in hot areas and went behind enemy lines alone.
He died from numerous shrapnel wounds as a result of shelling of a position near the village of Spirne in Donetsk region. Spirne, Donetsk region.
A great loss for all his comrades, friends and family. His wife is left without a husband, his daughter without a father, his father and brother without a dear son.
