The sad news from the front was reported in the Sokal City Council
On July 2, 2024, near the village of Ivanivske, Bakhmut district, Donetsk region, Junior Sergeant Hegeshko Artem Valeriyovych, born on 25.12.1991, died during enemy shelling.
Artem was a native of Volnovakha district, Donetsk region, his house was destroyed by the enemy, and now his village is under occupation.
In 2020, Artem HEGESHKO volunteered to serve in the Aidar battalion. Together with his comrades, he fought fierce battles for Rozivka, Hranitne, and Starohnativka (where he was buried on February 24, 2022).
On August 13, 2022, the Aidar battalion was transferred to the Bakhmut direction, where they have been fighting to this day.
On May 31, 2023, Artem married Halyna from Sokal, and together they raised their daughter Nadia-Evelina. Their family happiness did not last long, the occupiers ended the life of the young soldier.
